You know you're in for something good when right outside a bar's doors there are several pieces of art featuring Christopher Walken.
Welcome to The Deuce Lounge at CityCenter. Mr. Walken will keep an eye on your night.
Part bar, part high-limit gaming area (the bar/lounge is run by Light Group, the tables by MGM Mirage), The Deuce is one of those places you can swing by for five minutes, but end up staying an hour. (Although the smartest among us know to plan to just spend awhile there.)
Surrounded by curtains and windows that open to let the energy from the casino flow in too, the Deuce Lounge seems a kind of coolly elegant that could be intimidating, but isn't.
There are gaming tables on either side of the lounge and open seating for customers in the middle. If you're hungry, there's a menu catered by Union Restaurant (another Light Group venture in CityCenter) and if there's a big game or fight on, there are TVs over the bar. You won't miss a single home run or knockout, but you'll be someplace way nicer than your living room.
(That is, of course, unless you have four chandeliers, mirrored blocks on the walls and fancy wood and leather accents in your living room.)
A DJ booth sits set back into one of the walls and music is almost always keeping energy inside the lounge high.
Whether The Deuce is your first, middle or last stop on the way to something else in CityCenter, make sure you give it its due. And do not make the joke you're dying to make. No one will laugh. We guarantee it.

Haze is something that blocks your vision, you might be able to make things out through the haze but you can't see it perfectly.
We've all had those moments that feel like there was some haze involved. It could have been that forgettable night after your high school prom or that period in your life you thought it was cool to dress like a vampire. You've tried your best to forget those memories.
But haze doesn't have to be something you want to forget about. Some of the best weekends in Vegas are always a little hazy. You wake up in the morning not knowing exactly what you did, but you're able to figure out that whatever you did was exciting and, somehow, you want to do it again.
Well, at Haze Nightclub inside of Aria at CityCenter, that's the kind of night you can expect to have.
The next day you may think to yourself, "Did I really see some hot women dressed in some Lady Gaga designed clothes?" Or, "Did I really twirl around that stripper pole in the middle of the dance floor?"
The answer to both of those questions is likely yes.
From the size of the line that fills up in the lobby outside of Haze, you wouldn't expect to find what's actually inside. The club itself is small and the layout doesn't help to hide it.
The dance floor is surrounded by the elevated (and rather large) DJ booth right in the middle and tables on the other side. It almost makes you think they forgot to throw in a DJ booth when they built it and put one together at the last minute. But really, having it in the midst of the action was the plan.
A row of tables sits on the same level as the dance floor, while another row is elevated to the right of the DJ booth.
When you look onto the packed dance floor and notice there aren't a lot of people there, that's because a good amount of them can be found dancing near the bar. With plenty of room around the three bars (two downstairs, one upstairs), the area almost serves as a second dance floor.
On your way in you may also notice something of a voyeur room. There are usually two women inside, dressed oddly, yet sexy, who are part of the entertainment you will see throughout the club. The women usually rotate out of the room and prance about the club serving up shots. There is also the occasional aerial dancer and video screens that accompany the music to complete the package.
Aside from the bar on the second level, there are also a number of VIP booths with most of those overlooking the dance floor. It seems that you are never too far away from the action here, making it easy to stay amongst the revelers.
And in the morning when all you can remember is that you might have partied with Lady Gaga or at least bought a shot from her, the name Haze may make more sense.

The Beatles REVOLUTION Lounge takes guests on an evolutionary journey, where both music and interior transform creating a psychedelic sensory environment. The first nightlife experience created by Cirque du Soleil, REVOLUTION blends cutting-edge interactive design, art and sound in a contemporary interpretation of The Beatles era, exclusively at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
A nightlife revolution, the music ultra lounge is a celebration of sound where DJs spin eclectic sets from innovative rock-centric mixes with hip hop and house back beats to 70s, 80s, 90s and contemporary dance, hip hop, house and mash ups. Plus, a few nights per week, REVOLUTION converts into a live music venue where up-and-coming indie and alternative bands hit the stage.
Upon entering REVOLUTION, guests are wrapped in the words and thoughts of The Beatles by the lyric wall. Inside, the 5,000-square-foot music ultra lounge pulsates with distinct and innovative light and shadow patterns above the main bar. Adorning the LSD ceiling are 30,000 dichroic crystals that reflect light throughout the lounge, an architectural representation of The Beatles’ hit song, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.”
Inspired by the graffiti at Abbey Road, guests add their own creativity to the ultra-lounge’s décor. The electronic surface of the interactive VIP tables uses infrared technology, letting guests create tabletop artwork, which is then projected onto amorphic columns scattered throughout the room. The application of this technology cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
Outside of the ultra lounge, the multi-colored, 10-foot-tall letters spelling REVOLUTION welcome guests and create a staggered boundary for The Abbey Road Bar, which is visible throughout the casino floor. A full service bar gives guests a small taste of the REVOLUTION experience with its black and white striped floor, reminiscent of the original Abbey Road. The Abbey Road Bar provides a dynamic meeting spot for cocktails and conversation. - LigHT Group
After building its name in New York City, 1OAK is coming to Las Vegas.
The Big Apple hotspot, operated by the Butter Group, has teamed up with Light Group to bring its exclusive club to the Las Vegas Strip in the former home of JET Nightclub at the Mirage. The club is scheduled to open on New Year's Eve.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Butter Group,” said The Light Group founder Andrew Sasson. “Combining The Light Group’s expertise and experience in service and management with The Butter Group’s edgy New York City style and energy, 1OAK Las Vegas will be a truly unique nightlife experience that will set new industry standards in Las Vegas.”
Located on the cusp of New York City’s trendy Chelsea neighborhood and the fashionable Meatpacking District, 1OAK opened in 2008 and remains a celebrity favorite with appearances by Beyonce, Jay-Z, Madonna and more.
1 OAK’s visually stunning environment encompasses two separate rooms each housing their own bar and DJ Booth that can be tailored to accommodate groups as small as 100, and up to 1,581 people. Each room stands on its own as an independent venue through individual audio-visual capabilities. Both rooms will blend seamlessly for a full capacity event.
1OAK Las Vegas will be the Butter Group's third venture outside of New York City with venues in North Carolina and Brazil.
International design firm Munge Leung will execute the interior design for 1OAK Las Vegas, which was conceptualized collaboratively between The Light Group and The Butter Group. World-renowned artist Roy Nachum has also been selected to incorporate one-of-a-kind works of art into the interior layout.
-- Staff report
There's more than one way to propel a Vegas club into the disco-lit halls of nightlife greatness. There's crazy parties, off-the-wall themes, unending opulence -- the list goes on.
But The Bank transcends all of that (although they do have a little bit of all three) -- they're in those ranks because of a consistent and quality product. It's a special night out every night at The Bank and, in Sin City's unstable nighttime culture, that's not always easy to come by.
The first sign that The Bank and its staff are on to something good comes from the line. It frequently expands away from the club doors and toward the casino as the hours tick by. This might sound intimidating, but the line is managed well and it's an efficient line, so don't be afraid.
Once through the line, you'll head up an escalator (an elevator is also available if necessary). Because the escalator doesn't deposit guests right into the main club, there's not usually a back up to contend with, which is a lot more special than it seems, trust us.
Then it's through a room filled with bottles of Cristal and booths (the best tables for people looking for a table with slightly more breathing room, this is the spot to reserve) into the heart of The Bank.
You enter the main room of the club in the back left corner. From here, there's a bar immediately to your right and going straight will lead you to some of the best views in the house. The Bank's layout is essentially a tiered rectangle. Ringing the rectangle on top are drink rails and standing space (which is where those views come in -- you can see almost all the action with your drink resting comfortably on an actual flat surface instead of perched precariously on some ledge).
If you drop down a level (or two) there are booths and tables that are separated enough that VIPs have their own space, but don't feel segregated or closed off. The dance floor is on the bottom floor, right in the middle. Above that is the DJ booth, where DJs like Samantha Ronson sometimes come to spin (there's even VIP space flanking that if you're going ultra-swanky for the night).
There's another bar off to the far side of the club (and more private table seating behind that) and near there are stairs down to the restrooms.
Club layout may not seem like the most exciting subject in the world, but if a club does it right, like The Bank, it makes all the difference in the world. Depending on where you set up camp for the night, you and your bachelor(ette) party can be the center of attention or you and your date can spend some quality time in the shadows.
The Bank is generally regarded as a higher-end club and even if you don't spring for bottle service, the elegance is palpable. The easiest way to tell is to take a look around -- no one just picked up a shirt from the laundry pile and rolled into The Bank. There's definitely a dress-to-impress vibe. Plus, some epic parties with huge stars are often thrown inside the club's dark-yet-sparkly walls.
It's all this that puts The Bank in league with the greats of nightclub-dom and if you don't believe us, come have a night there and judge for yourself.
